Has moved out to

http://lifeinplanethunkydory.tumblr.com/

I have been spreading my e-self too thin so I have finally decided to integrate a few of them. Instead of having to update both my blogspot and tumblr, from today on, I will continue on with tumblr instead (I simply find it easier to integrate with the rest of my social media presence too). So my dear readers, please change your bookmark to my new extra terrestial residence :-)

A source of embarassment

It has always been in my mind, how embarassingly lazy I have been with my blog. Twitter has toppled the blog as a favourite medium of mine to share information. It is simply much easier (plus my shoulders have been aching like crazy and my dearest GP told me to stop spending so much time in front of computer). Therefore I am on the mind of closing this blog. Well, at least to stop DM-ing my new Twitter followers to Planet Hunky Dory! In the end, I would like to apologize if you are one of the earlier victims, I am sorry for linking you to a blog that has not been updated for ages.

PS: Sometimes, I imagine blogging is like joining an AA or weight watcher group. I have never been both, but my binge-ing pattern is quite similar. A period of good activity and followed by looooong relapsed.

PSS: OK, I will stop now until I find something witty or clever to say. You can still follow my adventure through my Twitter. Just search/click for JuliaBanana.

XOXO

Talking about some freaky stuff

Hey everyone, since the last post, there has not been much change. I am busy doing different kind of stuff (mostly baking & experimenting in the kitchen but also some independent projects), so I won't be updating that often. Don't worry, deep down I am still the very geek that can't bear to be away from her world wide web connection too long. If you are interested to find out what I have been up to or the stuff that I have been reading then just follow me on my twitter JuliaBanana. The ease of sharing is just too addictive for me ;-)

Now, I present you one of the wackiest and coolest video that I have watched in the last couple week: Muzorama. Muzorama is a short 3D animation film based on the universe of french illustrator Muzo. Produce in 2008 with a six weeks production time. Directed by Elsa Brehin, Raphaƫl Calamote, Mauro Carraro, Maxime Cazaux, Emilien Davaux, Laurent Monneron and Axel Tillement.

Muzorama from Muzorama Team on Vimeo.

Ooo and I promised to share the result of some of my kitchen alchemy on the next post :-)

Headache and item not as described

Since the last couple weeks I have been contemplating to go back to Jakarta. Europe is still reeling from the economic crisis and it is quite obvious that the future is in Asia so I thought that may be it is time to return so I can catch up in time. However, this business of returning is so complicated, at least I don't have any mortgage obligation, but there are still enough headache. The problems range from mobile phone contract (that ends next year grrr), legalising all sorts of documents, last minute trips around Europe as well as selling my furnitures (and some wardrobe). eBay and Craiglist are of course on the top of my mind, but whee it is difficult and troublesome! Anyway, out of boredom I was browsing around and somehow I accidently found itemnotasdescribed. A website dedicated to share some terrific ads with offers that people can't refuse! You really need to check it out and here are some excerpts from the website.

My first North Korean commercial

Ever curious with what kind of commercial they have in one of the most mysterious country in the world? Well, now you get the chance to take a peek on how they do it. I used to think that they only have state broadcasts with no commercial, but I suppose this can be count as part of the propaganda. Kim Jong-il has authorised North Korea's first beer advertisement for the Taedonggang Beer Factory. The "Pride of Pyongyang" beer claims that it will help ease stress. It also promises: "It represents the new look of Pyongyang...It will be a familiar part of our lives." Enough said I guess, just enjoy ;-)

Hibi no Neiro

You gotta love this brand creativity. A Japanese pop group, Sour, managed to crowdsource and collaborate with their fans around the world to create this one cool video clip. Kudo to Directors Masashi Kawamura, Hal Kirkland, Magico Nakamura, and Masayoshi Nakamura!
